A spill kit responder is the person who acts first when a spill happens. It aligns with unit standard 242999, Respond to and clean up a spill, at NQF level 2, so the training follows a recognised national standard.
Do I need any experience to attend?
No. The course starts from the basics and is open to anyone designated to respond to spills in their workplace. You will learn to read hazard information, select the right equipment and follow safe clean-up steps. If you already respond to spills, this course formalises your training with a certificate issued in line with the SAQA-aligned unit standard.
