What is the Forklift Operator course?
This course trains delegates to operate a counterbalance forklift safely and productively in a working environment. It covers pre-shift inspections, load handling, stacking and de-stacking, refuelling or battery charging, and workplace safety rules. Do I need experience before I can do forklift training?
No, this course is open to new operators. It covers the basics from pre-shift inspections to load handling, so you can start without prior experience. Delegates should be physically able to operate the machine and follow safety instructions. If you already drive a forklift, the course also works as formal certification for your current skill level.
Can you train at our site in Gauteng or KwaZulu-Natal?
Yes, on-site training is available at your premises, and we also run centre-based classes in Midrand and Durban. On-site training lets your operators practise on their own machines and in their own layout, which many employers prefer.
