Frequently asked questions

How much does Confined Space Rescue training cost?

Pricing depends on group size and delivery mode, so the total will vary. Daily classes run at our Midrand and Durban centres, and we can deliver the course on site at your premises. Email us at info@rehtraining.co.za with your team size and location for an accurate quote, or call 010 746 6954 to speak to us.

What does the course cover?

You learn the roles of a confined space rescue team, how to plan a rescue and what to consider under permit to work systems. The course covers rescue equipment and systems, safe entry and retrieval techniques, casualty handling and how to coordinate and communicate during an operation. Practical rescue exercises are part of the day, and you receive a certificate on completion.

Do I need experience before doing this course?

It helps to have done Confined Space Entry training or to know your way around confined space work, because the rescue course builds on that knowledge. Rescue teams usually come from workers who already operate in or around confined spaces. If you are new to confined spaces, start with the entry course.

Can you train our rescue team at our site?

Yes. On-site training lets your team practise rescue procedures on your own tanks, vessels and access points. We also run daily classes at our centres in Midrand and Durban. Group pricing is negotiable, so email us at info@rehtraining.co.za with your team size for a quote, or call 010 746 6954.
